*Pictorial Directory Pictures: The Evangelism Committee is heading up putting together a new Olan Mills Church Directory.  We have our set days for September 7 and 8 for pictures.  If you haven't haven't yet signed up for a time slot, please contact Marian Rizer. Remember, there is no need to buy or pay for anything unless you want to!

*September Council Meeting: is rescheduled for Tuesday, September 14 (due to a conflict with the picture taking for the new directory on the 7th) -- same time, 7pm. 

*Fall Line-Up:  Be sure to check the calendar and the bulletins for the start of choir practice, vespers, Sunday school, luncheons, committee meetings, and much more!  AND don't forget about Rally Day scheduled for Sunday, September 12 (when we will also celebrate Ryan's one-year anniversary with us). Check the calendar!

*Community Day: Thanks to everyone who came out August 21st to enjoy some delicious BBQ chicken, shop the yard sale, or attend various wellness activities and info sessions.  Your support is greatly appreciated!  Look forward to future community days at Christ Lutheran!

Recycle Old Cell Phones: Have an old cell phone? Place it in the box at church to help support our youth -- that's right, we get money for recycling cell phones!

Join Our E-Mailing List: We are excited to explore new ways to keep in touch with members of the congregation and community.  If you would like to receive future newsletters and messages from us, please click the "Join Email List" button at the top of this page.  Clicking that button will take you to a new page where you can submit your email address.  You will then receive an automatic email from webmaster@madleychristlutheran.org.  To confirm your wish to join our email list, you must click the link contained in the email. So to recap, (1) Click the link above and submit your email address (2) Check your email and click the link in the email you receive.  That's it!

Church Council Meetings: are held the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm. Anyone who may have concerns or joys to share with the council are more than welcome to attend any meeting. However, please give prior knowledge to the council before you attend, for scheduling.

Thrivent Financial: Our congregation is now signed up to receive "financial Choice Dollars." If you are member of Thrivent, you can direct your "choice dollars" to one our projects here at the church. This money will be directly deposited into our bank account for the use by our church. If you have any questions please see Pastor Ryan.

Worship Assistance Schedules: Please visit the worship leadership page, or download and print the schedule.  If you would like to be a worship assistant, please inform a member of the worship and music committee or speak to Pastor Ryan.

Sign-Up: Please sign-up in the narthex for monthly church cleaning, weekly flower sponsorship, events, and more!
 
ELCA Prayer Ventures: Each month the ELCA complies daily prayer petitions to guide our prayers for the life and mission of the church. They are available here from the ELCA website.

Serve Our Congregation: You are an important part of the body of Christ on earth and your gifts make us whole. There are sign-up sheets for worship leadership on the bulletin board in the narthex. If you are interested in serving but would like to learn more about how you can serve God's kingdom on earth, contact Pastor Ryan Viands or a member of the congregational council.

Help Clean God's House: A clean and tidy space is welcomed by all who gather at this fine place of worship. A sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board in the narthex for monthly church cleaning. For more information, please contact a member of the Property Committee. 

Please Recycle: Most everything we throw away can be recycled. To help the effort of preserving God’s creation, there are recycling bins in the church. There is a bin for paper next to the copier (for copier/computer paper, envelopes & junk mail, magazines/catalogs, newspapers, etc.). There is another bin located in the fellowship hall for all plastics, glass, and metal (including plastic bottles & containers, tin & aluminum cans, glass jars & bottles, etc.)... all you have to do is put it in one of the bins instead of a trash can. It’s that simple!

Hyndman Ministries Food Pantry: Every third Friday of the month from 9 to 11 AM as shown on the calendar.  Please consider volunteering for this worthy cause!  Here is a listing of their special monthly collections throughout the year.
